Our History

HEAT Sport Sciences, Inc. was founded in 2012 by serious athletes and physicians, with the goal to optimize performance and prevent heat-related issues in sport. Based on over two decades of research into athlete sweat testing and electrolyte loss, our patented system addresses the unique and demanding needs of the serious athlete. Our differentiator is the sweat test: how salty your sweat runs is genetic, and it sets your LEVEL. We build your electrolyte mix to match, carried by glucose so your body actually absorbs it.

Our original partners were professional and collegiate teams in the Philadelphia area, and now we serve athletes all over the world, from weekend warriors to the top athletes in their respective sports: football, hockey, basketball, soccer, tennis, and endurance sports. We also proudly support several military and public safety groups.

We are hand-mixed in Philadelphia, used quietly by professional and collegiate teams through their nutritionists and dietitians, and grown almost entirely by word of mouth. We do not compete on the sports-drink shelf. We test your sweat and take the guesswork out of your hydration.
